Just as when I saw the Papa Rooster kit, when I saw this I was struck by nostalgia, the hen looks so much like the easter decorations I grew up with both in my parents home and my grandparents home. And as this hen really completes the pair I wanted to give this one too, to my brother and his girlfriend. The only things was that is was only two little chicks on the cross stitch. And if I had thought about it a little bit more I might have added a third to really encompass their family.
And as I started this just after the Papa Rooster I was able to give both of them to them when helping them move.
