As an avid coffee drinker I’m always on the hunt for fun coffee related patterns that I can stitch and add to my cozy coffee nook. When I found the cute Cozy Cafe Pattern I knew I wanted to stitch it for my walls. It was super fun to stitch, I did make some changes so it did come out a bit different compared to the original.
When I say I made some changes, I really just changed the fabric. But I changed both the color and the count of the fabric. For the color, I went with a medium to dark beige. This was due to the colors in the project, the scalloped edge under the cups would not have shown up very good on a lighter fabric.
For the count of my fabric I went down from 14ct to 16ct as I prefer that size. When doing that I missed that this project had beads. And even when I saw it had beads I didn’t realize the issue I would come up to at some places. Mostly at the Peppermint Cocoa cup as there the beads are next to each other.
I do still love the piece, but if you choose to make this piece I would recommend using either 14ct aida or 28ct evenweave or linen.
